The CarolinaLink Board of Directors consists of the Chief Executive Officers of the nine member Companies.  Collectively, the group has more than 225 years experience in the telecommunications industry.  They include:

  • Steve A. Cox
    Steve, a graduate of Randolph Community College, has been employed by Randolph TMC for 25 years.  He was named General Manager of the company in January, 1997.  Steve also serves as General Manager of Randolph Telephone Company, a regulated telephone company; Randolph Telephone Telecommunications, Inc., a long distance subsidiary; and  Assistant Executive Vice President of Uwharrie Communications, Inc.  His is active in a number of industry organizations and currently serves as Vice President of the N.C. Telecommunications Industry Association, Vice President of the Alliance of N.C. Independent Telephone Companies and Vice President of the N.C. Telephone Cooperative Coalition.  Steve is also active in community affairs and currently serves as a Director for the Randolph County Economic Development Association and the Agri-Business Association.  You can view his website at

  • Jimmy Blevins

    Jimmy, a graduate of North Carolina State University, was named Chief Executive Officer of SkyLine TMC on July 1, 2008. He joined the company in 1985 after working as a project engineer for the consulting firm Black and Veatch in Asheboro, NC. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Jimmy held various leadership positions with SkyLine including Staff Engineer, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Management Officer. He holds a Professional Engineering (PE) license for the state of North Carolina. Jimmy is active in a number of industry organizations and serves on the Board of Directors of Carolina West Wireless. He serves as Secretary/Treasurer of Access/On Multimedia Inc., and President of SkyBest Communications, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of SkyLine Telephone.  Locally, he is involved in coaching youth sports and enjoys bicycling and hiking. Jimmy, his wife Judy and son Jacob are members of Friendship Baptist Church.

  • Lyman M. Horne, Jr.
    Lyman was named Executive Vice President and General Manager of Star TMC in October of 2000, following 20 years of service with Star in a variety of jobs including Marketing Manager, Commercial Manager, Director of Revenues and Assistant General Manager.  A graduate of Campbell University, he also attended N.C. State University and completed continuing education courses in Basic Electronics, Computer Programming and Intermediate Computers.  Lyman is active in many civic and industry organizations and has served as an instructor at Sampson Community College.  You can view his website at

  • C. E. "Eddie" Ritenour, Jr.
    Eddie joined Wilkes TMC in 1994 as Commercial Manager following an almost 30 year career with Central Telephone Company.  Starting in 1965 with Central, he held numerous craft and management positions both in outside plant and commercial operations.  He was serving as area manager for Central when he chose to take early retirement in 1993.  Eddie was named General Manager of Wilkes TMC in March 1998.  You can view his website at

  • Michael W. Stanley
    Mike grew up on a poultry and tobacco farm in Surry County.  After military service, including a tour in Vietnam, he joined Surry TMC in 1969 as a Central Office Technician.  Prior to being named General Manager in 1983, he held other positions including Central Office Supervisor, Engineer and Plant Manager.  Mike has also served as President of the N.C. Telephone Industry Association and the Carolina-Virginias Telephone Membership Association.  He as an Officer and Director of other affiliated companies and is active in civic and economic development activities.  You can view his website at

  • Dennis M. Wallace, Jr.
    Dennis has been Executive Vice President and General Manager of Tri-County TMC since March of 1992  following a 20 year career with Carolina Telephone.  He is active in industry organizations and currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Cooperative Council of N.C. and Secretary/Treasurer of  CarolinaLink.  He serves as Director of Region 1 of the National Telecommunications Cooperative Association.  He is past President of the Carolina-Virginias Telephone Association.  Also active in state and community affairs, he is former Mayor of Pantego and serves on the Telecommunications Advisory Committee of Central Carolina Community College.  You can view his website at www.gotricounty.biz/dennis
     

  • Allen Russ
    A native of Brunswick County, Mr. Russ was named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and General Manager of ATMC in 2006. He joined the company in 1999 as Purchasing Agent, following his retirement from BellSouth after 33 years of service. Prior to his promotion to CEO and General Manager of ATMC, Mr. Russ also served as Executive Officer, Plant Operations and as Chief Operating Officer and Assistant General Manager. His telecommunication career started in 1966 with Southern Bell. Throughout his career with BellSouth, he held numerous management positions in Wilmington and Charlotte as well as BellSouth’s corporate headquarters in Atlanta. He and his wife, Sheila Sellers Russ, live in Supply, N.C. and have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.  You can view his website at
